Strong and Durable Pipe For the Most Difficult Projects

(80) ksi steel reinforcing (SR) provides the strength; pressure rated polyethylene (PE) resin provides the durability. The combination of materials results in an extraordinarily strong and durable pipe. Owners, Engineers, and Agencies choose DuroMaxx® SRPE.

DuroMaxx® SRPE provides the lightweight, low-cost structural advantages of traditional HDPE with none of the disadvantages.  The built-in capacity of the steel reinforced ribs ensures the pipe will not creep or buckle. DuroMaxx can be twice as stiff as non-steel reinforced HDPE pipe, as it is more resistant to the effect of temperature and sunlight.

DuroMaxx can be made watertight, and can be used in applications with corrosive soils or abrasive flows. DuroMaxx’s smooth interior provides a pipe that is hydraulically efficient capable of Manning’s “n” values of 0.011 to 0.013 and allows for minimum slope designs and longer runs.

DuroMaxx is available in diameters ranging from 30” – 120” and manufactured in standard lengths of 14’ or 24’. Larger diameter pipe increases storage volume while long pipe sections reduce the number of units to be set and joints to assemble.

DuroMaxx is lightweight and quickly installed; often eliminating the need to use heavy construction equipment. Longer lengths and easy joint assembly also contribute to costs savings.

Installation of DuroMaxx steel reinforced polyethylene (SRPE) pipe.
DuroMaxx for Irrigation

Made with HDB pressure rated resins, DuroMaxx provides superior corrosion resistance. Watertight joints, rated at 15 psi, exceed industry standard testing (ASTM D3212). Installation cost advantages are important for remote locations. Versatile fabrication supports unique fittings and components. Excels in short and long-term cost analysis for irrigation applications.

DuroMaxx for Storm Sewers

DuroMaxx drainage pipe is ideally suited for the collection and removal of stormwater from highway, urban, industrial and residential projects. Its unique combination of steel reinforcement and pressure rated HDPE resin allows it to perform like no other drainage pipe on the market. Its 80 ksi high strength steel provides maximum load carrying capabilities with allowable cover limits ranging from 30 to 50 feet. High strength steel provides exceptional shape and deflection control even on warm, sunny days where typical corrugated HDPE drainage pipes fall short. Pressure rated HDPE resin provides unmatched durability. Abrasion and chemical resistance is unaffected by water pH levels unlike reinforced concrete pipe, where abrasion resistance varies with water pH levels. Joint tightness available for all applications - 10.8 psi high performance (HP), 3 psi low head (LH), 30 psi welded coupler (WC); and soil tight (ST) joints available.

DuroMaxx for Culverts, Canals and Ditch Enclosures

The built-in capacity of the high strength steel eliminates concerns that have long plagued profile wall HDPE pipe. DuroMaxx uses only high quality pressure rated HDPE resin that provides predictable engineering properties including crack resistance, tensile strength and modulus of elasticity, allowing you to meet your long-term service structural needs for canal and ditch enclosures.

DuroMaxx® SRPE for Combined Sewer Overflow

DuroMaxx can provide storage for combined sewer overflow (CSO) via underground storage tanks. DuroMaxx tanks are durable and water tight, providing a cost-effective way to handle this critical problem. With diameters of up to 120" and flexible design configurations combined with its watertight joints, DuroMaxx is an ideal solution for CSO storage.

DuroMaxx for Glycol & AFFF Containment

Included in FAA drainage standards and with a long history of successful airport installations across the U.S., DuroMaxx SRPE is the ultimate solution for containment of glycol and aqueous film forming foams (AFFF) fluids. Sizes range from 30-inch to 120-inch diameter to store multiple millions of gallons within a surprisingly small site footprint. Its high quality HDB pressure rated PE resin provides excellent resistance from corrosive chemicals, while its high strength steel reinforcement is able to handle heavy aircraft loading and high cover applications. DuroMaxx is Made in America and meets Buy American requirements for federally funded projects.
