Filtration with sediment storage

The MFS media filtration system utilizes variable flow controls, media-filled cartridges, and a storage sump to capture and retain a broad spectrum of pollutants to meet stringent regulatory requirements. Variable flow controls insure the system matches the influent flow to lower the average treatment flow rate and maximize performance. The large storage sump ensures system longevity on sites with heavy loading and eliminates the need for an upstream storage sump in roadway applications. With scalable cartridges available in multiple heights, the system can be sized to meet specific flow rates and stay within the available hydraulic grade line on the project.

The MFS is best suited for sites with an offset inlet and outlet depth difference of as much as 2.3 feet. Additionally, its sedimentation bay provides a greater storage capacity. The MFS is available in vault, manhole, catch basin, curb inlet, high volume, and volume configurations.

Benfits of the MFS system:
  • Variable flow control improves performance and extends maintenance interval
  • Sedimentation bay provides greater storage capacity
  • For sites with offset inlet and outlet depth difference of as much as 2.3 feet.
  • Available in vault, manhole, catch basin, curb inlet, high volume, and volume configurations

Filtration for LID Designs

The Stormwater Management StormFilter, Jellyfish Filter, and MFS systems can be easily configured as decentralized, small scale inlets, including catch basin, curb inlet and manhole systems to meet LID treatment requirements. The systems provide high removal efficiency for primary pollutants of concern.

Filtration for Industrial Sites

Use the StormFilter and Jellyfish Filter systems to target fine solids, metals and oil and grease from stormwater runoff at a variety of industrial sites. These systems can effectively remove zinc and particulates from metal roofing, cooper and other metals leaching from condenser tubing, and paint from surface preparation and painting, to name just a few. Used in conjunction with an overall source control and treatment plan these products provide the reliability and flexibility you need to meet environmental permit requirements.

Filtration Systems for Water Quality

The Stormwater Management StormFilter, Jellyfish Filter, and MFS systems provide the highest level of treatment and meet the most stringent regulatory requirements. These low maintenance systems combine pretreatment and filtration, and are able to target site-specific pollutants to meet your water quality goals. Our field-proven products have earned hundreds of standalone BMP approvals from regulatory agencies nationwide.

Filtration for Removing Pollutants Prior to Discharge

Media filtration systems - like our StormFilter, Jellyfish Filter, and MFS systems are able to remove the most challenging pollutants from stormwater, including total phosphorus, soluble metals, oil, and very fine particles (down to 15 microns). Available in a variety of configurations (vault, manhole, catch basin, high flow and volume), these systems can be engineered to treat a wide range of flows within your drainage system and capture pollutants prior to discharge off-site.
